'THE FORCE' (aka MOOD & BURNS) are two new up and coming producers based in the West Midlands who, after meeting through a mutual friend at a local record shop, decided to join forces and collaborate in the studio.
Mood, aged 26, has been part of the Midland's drum and bass scene for over five years now and in that time has been a resident at STEALTH, a popular and successful drum and bass night based in Wolverhampton, and AURA ORANGE, an underground Trance, Techno and D&B night that has been going strong for over seven years.
Burns, aged 24, has been part of the local drum and bass scene for six years. In this time he has been a resident at LIFTED, another popular and successful local night, and has set up and run a drum and bass night with CO LAB owner Benny, called EVOLUTION.
As well as this, between them, they have played at many other Midland nights, including Atomic Jam, House of God, Deckology, Twister, Terminal Sounds, Re-Load, Twisted, Urban Samurai, Social Security, Prosession and Purity. Production-wise Mood & Burns first started working together at the beginning 2002. Then when things started to come together they decided to become 'THE FORCE' with their first two releases coming on SUDDEN DEF and URBAN TAKEOVER. After having several releases on various labels, including New Skool Blazers, Sudden Def and Infected, THE FORCE are now mainly working with Urban Takeover and have quite a number of releases lined up with them. Support has also been good from many of the scene's major players, such as Grooverider, Micky Finn, Aphrodite, Nicky Blackmarket, Peshay, Hype, Bryan Gee, Easy Rollers, Krust, Clipz, Dj Markey, Aquasky and Shodan.
